Terms of Service
Effective January 1, 2026 · v2.31. Acceptance of terms
By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using WritersScribe’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of services
WritersScribe provides editorial, research consulting, and publication support services, including academic editing and proofreading, systematic review methodology support, research and statistical consulting, dissertation coaching, capstone project consulting, and nursing and healthcare research support.
3. Scope of services & editorial boundaries
Our services are limited to editing, formatting, consulting, and advising on work that the client has authored. We do not write original coursework, dissertation chapters, capstone deliverables, care plans, or any material intended for submission as a client’s own academic or professional work product. Orders that request this scope of work will be declined or amended before work begins.
4. Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for the accuracy of information and files submitted, for verifying that use of our services complies with their institution’s or employer’s policies, and for the final review and submission of their own work.
5. Ordering, pricing & payment
Pricing is calculated per word or by project scope as described on our Pricing page. Payment is due at the time of order unless institutional billing terms have been separately agreed in writing.
6. Revisions & refunds
Every order includes one revision round within 7 days of delivery, limited to the original scope of work. Full refunds are available at any time before an editor has been assigned; once work has begun, refunds are prorated based on work completed.
7. Intellectual property
Clients retain full ownership of all original content they submit. WritersScribe claims no ownership over client work and will not use, publish, or reproduce client materials outside the scope of the engagement without written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
WritersScribe provides editorial and consulting services on a good-faith, professional basis but does not guarantee specific academic, publication, or evaluative outcomes. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the order in question.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an active engagement in writing. Fees for work completed up to the point of termination remain payable; fees for uncompleted work are refunded according to our Refund Policy.
10. Governing law & changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
